Bring in the Bounty Hunters

 X_GINGERALE_X - April 2013

Paradise Springs is abuzz with anticipation as the casino's first ever poker tournament approaches.  With only a limited amount of information released one can only speculate what will manifest.  Will past leader-board winners such as, superlatives and M-A-D-O-N-N-A-1, come out of (self-described) retirement to participate?  Are the odds in favor of seasoned players like Lookkin4MaryJane or will a noob jump in and grab the purse?

Testing is well underway and only a handful of players have been selected to participate in the initial testing phases.  Players were selected at random by previous Global Leader-board winners, superlatives and WEASEL182.  "What better way to test a new casino game than with everyday seasoned players?  We tried to pick serious and experienced players with positive reputations in the casino."  Claims WEASEL182.  He further went on to state, "Unfortunately we can't bring everyone into the testing phases (even though we wish we could)."

Digital Leisure and Sony have yet to give detailed information regarding rewards and prizes.  What wondrous delights are in store?  Will prizes be limited only to the tournament champion or will finalists and semifinalists receive rewards for their efforts?

This is the generalized information posted in the poker room:

Get your best poker face ready because The Casino is about to host its first monthly Poker Tournament, but before we do we're going to have a beta test and  we want you to be part of it!

To qualify for the beta all you have to do is play in 10 or more Casino poker games in the 30 days before the tournament. If you meet these requirements, a voucher will be given to you during the week leading up to the tournament and once redeemed will give you access to the Poker Tournament Qualifying Room.

The tournament will take place over 2 days: Saturday and Sunday.

On Day 1, you'll enter the Poker Tournament Qualifying Room and play as many games as you can in 8 hours. At the end of the day, the top 36 players will move on to the semi-finals the next day.

On Day 2, each player will be assigned a seat at one of the six tables in the Poker Tournament Finals Room. The winners of each table will face off against each other in a final game later in the day.

The top 3 players will win chips (only 10% of the real tournament payout for this beta), and the champion will get an exclusive item (not as exclusive for this beta).

Poker requires an important amount of strategy and skill but we all know it truly comes down to the "luck of the draw".  Feelin' lucky?
